Hi, we are Jon and Elise Chadwick. We are currently raising funds to work with Kids Alive in Lima, Peru. While in Peru, we will lead short-term work teams that come to serve with Kids Alive. We will also work with their children’s home and care center to show the love of Christ to the impoverished families of Lima. Please explore our site to get to know our ministry and passion for the broken, battered, and lost of Peru.
About Elise

I grew up in Richmond, Indiana and came to know the Lord my freshmen year of high school. I went to Calvin College and majored in Secondary Spanish Education. Jon and I met the day before graduation and then I moved on to a high school Spanish teaching job at Illiana Christian High School. Jon and I began dating shortly after and were married two years later. I spent a total of three years teaching Spanish before the Lord called Jon and I to Peru to teach at a school for missionary kids for a year. While teaching in Peru, we fell in love Kids Alive International’s ministry to abused and abandoned children. We came home in July of 2007 and raised funds to return to Peru to work with Kids Alive. We are expecting our first child in the beginning of March. Upon returning to Peru, I will fulfill the role of mother and work in child sponsorship. I am excited to see what the Lord has prepared for us in Peru. His faithfulness is already with and going ahead of us.
About Jon

I grew up in the friendly, historic village of Saranac, Michigan. I accepted Christ as my savior when I was seven years old, but it wasn’t until college that I truly began to dedicate my life to Him. After college I worked in social work with children and families with mental health disorders for two years. Like Elise, I was really drawn to the Kids Alive children’s home as a place where I could utilize my love for underprivileged children and understanding of social and mental health issues. I will be working with work teams by corresponding with potential teams, preparing them for what they will experience, and ensuring that they are able to maximize their experience on the field. I will also be working on improving correspondence between the home in Lima and its supporters.
