We’re on our way!
We are so excited to tell you that we have purchased our plane tickets to leave!!! Thanks to those of you who made commitments in the last couple weeks, we went from 75% to 90% and don’t have to wait two more months to leave. We are leaving on August 18th and flying to Guatemala to begin language school. We will spend two months there and then head to Colorado for three weeks of missionary training. After Colorado, we will return home for a couple of weeks to say goodbyes to everyone before heading off to Lima, Peru for the next two years. Thank you all so much for your prayer, encouragement, financial support.
We are also excited to announce that our family will increase by one a few months after arriving in Peru. We just had our first ultrasound and were excited to see a bouncing baby with a strong heartbeat. Elise is due in early March and she will be needing your prayers throughout all of our transitions. We are overjoyed that God has chosen to bring us this blessing in the midst of His calling.
We are so grateful that we were able to raise 90% of our funds so quickly, but especially with a baby in our future, we need to have the remaining 10% raised by the time we finish our trainings in November. We have a couple of churches that have expressed interest and a few friends that want to support us, but we are going to need many more people to come along side of us with prayer and financial support over the next few months. We need to raise $1,400 for our one-time costs and we need 14 more people to commit to $25 per month, or 7 to commit to $50 per month. If you or anyone you know would be interested in becoming one of those partners, please let us know. Also, if you were planning on giving a one-time gift after the fiscal year and you are willing to commit to that now, please let Kids Alive know so that they can take it into account.

–that our baby will continue to grow strong as it gets its first taste of international food and culture.
–that we will be able to hit the ground running in all of our transitions.
–for the children and families that we will be working with once we finally arrive in Lima.
