“O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens…what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?” Psalm 8:1,4
It seems like it has been a while since we have last written and a lot has been going on here! We had our first work team come and go, and we are even closer (5 weeks) to the baby’s due date! However, we just wanted to let you glimpse in on the praises we have for today…
-One of Elise’s jobs in sponsorship is to write letters with the kids. There are around 30 kids in the home and all of them have to write up to 12 letters updating their sponsors on what is going on in their lives. This proves to be quite the task. Miraculously, today she was able to work with some of the older kids who we have yet to see in our 2 months here! It was neat to hear how God is working in their lives…one of them wants to be a missionary! Praise God for His perfect timing and for the way He is working in the kids’ lives!
-We believe our search for a car is finally over. We have found one and hope to purchase it by the end of the week. We had a Christian mechanic give it the rundown and it checked out! Praise God for trustworthy, Christian mechanics!
-Elise had a nasty stomach flu this week. It turns out morning sickness at 10 weeks pregnant is nothing compared to the stomach flu at 35 weeks. There is nothing like the feeling of waking up and realizing that you’re not sick anymore! Praise God for health and strength!
-Jon is going to his first official Bible Study Fellowship class tonight. He is looking forward to the in-depth study of God’s word and also the fellowship with other believers. Praise God for opportunities to grow in Him!
Well, those are our praises for today…what are yours? Read the rest of this entry »
