Our latest work team was from People’s Church in Ontario. People’s Church is a big supporter of the Oasis and did tons of work there. Unfortunately, due to the swine flu “epidemic,” there were almost no kids at the site the entire time, but the team still had lots of fun and were able to see the moms from the Moms Helping Moms program. They poured cement, painted various railings and other things, built bookshelves, welded new posts for the volleyball net so that kids playing soccer don’t have to run into them anymore, and several other things.
