Cloth Diapers!!!

Several days ago we began cloth diapers! It is something I have always wanted to try and when I heard about a cloth diaper company that gives diaper grants to missionaries, we filled out the application. A few months later, we heard back that we were chosen! We got a set of bumgenius diapers and even some accessories to go along with them. These aren’t like the cloth diapers from a generation ago. They look just like a normal diaper that has an insert that absorbs all the moisture. These diapers have snaps that adjust the size as Lilia grows.  This set of diapers will last her until she is potty trained.  Yay!

One of the difficult things has been finding the right detergent to wash them with here in Peru. Any kind detergent that has an additive like softener, perfume, or color guard could build up on the diaper and ruin them. It is surprisingly difficult to find detergents without these ingredients. We are excited and so, so grateful to www.cottonbabies.com. If you ever decide to use cloth diapers, check them out!

An added bonus is that I think they’re pretty cute too!
