A Day with the Kids

It’s a rare treat when the kids have a day off from school and we can spend it with them.  Add to that the fact that all of the staff was at a conference for the entire day and you get one fun-filled day.  When we arrived in the morning we were astounded to see the game that some of the kids were playing.  Best described as boot camp, the oldest boy in the home had all of the other boys lined up like tin soldiers and was teaching them a “gun” twirling routine using hockey sticks and brooms.   Elise had planned a couple of crafts to do with the kids and then we were able to treat them to a special lunch.
